South Panola’s  Mitchel Babb has recently been selected to the 6A  first team All-State baseball team. The senior was named to the squad as an outfielder.

Babb, a Meridian Community College signee, led the Tigers in four offensive categories including highest batting average (.527), on base percentage, (.575) slugging percentage, (.731) to go along with five triples and tied on the team with nine doubles.

The senior left-hander also compiled a team leading 8-3 record on the mound with a 2.46 earned run average with 88 strikeouts and 20 walks in 59.2 innings to help guide South Panola to the North State semi-finals.
