Howard Andrews

BATESVILLE–Howard Andrews, 51, died Monday, November 29, 2010, at Regional Medical Center.

Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Eureka A.M.E. Zion Church in Batesville. Rev. Jacob Hentz will officiate. Burial will be in Eureka Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary and Sunday from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. at Eureka A.M.E. Zion Church. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge.

Andrews, born Dec. 16, 1958, to Calvin McGhee of of Newton and Mary Lee Andrews of Batesville; four sisters, Mae Helen Williams of Oxford, Julia Cauthen of Jackson and Mary Gatewood of Rock Island, Ill. and  Gertrude Andrews of Batesville; and three brothers, Greg Andrews, Lary Cauthen and Bruce McGhee, all of Batesville.

Andrew Campbell

ATLANTA, Ga.–Andrew Campbell, 44, formerly of Sardis, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at Emory Medical Center in Atlanta, Ga.

Services will be held Saturday at Rock Hill M.B. Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary and Saturday from 10 until service time at Rock Hill M.B. Church in Sardis.

Campbell was, born Oct. 9, 1966, to Darcus Campbell of Sardis and the late Anderson Campbell.

Survivors along with his mother include: his wife, Phyllis Campbell of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Jessica Allen; four brothers, David Campbell of Southlake, Texas, LaJuane Campbell of Dayton, Ohio, Dewitt Cole of Batesville and Sherman Cole of Memphis; six sisters, Helen Booth of Morrow, Ga., Deborah Campbell, Angie Allen of Batesville and Lisa Campbell of Madison, Bridget Campbell of Sardis and Esther Johnson of Orlando, Fla. and one grandchild.

Alan Barry Crisler

POPE–Alan Barry Crisler, 53, died Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at his residence.

Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Pope Baptist Church. Dr. Gary Berry will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in the Brown Family Cemetery in Pope. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

Crisler, born Sept. 13, 1957, in Denver, Colo., to Kenneth Harold and Carol Louise Brown Crisler, was a auto mechanic.

Survivors include: one sister, Diane Crisler Ridgway of Germantown.

John Lee Sprouse

COURTLAND–John Lee Sprouse, 63, died Friday, November 26, 2010. He was the owner of John’s Jewelry in Batesville.

Services were Sunday at Dickins Funeral Home. Hal Johnson officiated. Burial was in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.

Sprouse was a member of the Church of God and a member of the Rod Bender’s Car Club. He was a past member of the Jaycee’s and South Panola Lions Club. He was a member of the Mississippi Jewelers Association.

Survivors include: his wife of 43 years, Linda Woodard Sprouse of Courtland; three sons, Scotty Sprouse and Harvey Sprouse, both of Batesville and Brian Sprouse and his wife, Eve of Pope; three grandchildren, Hunter Sprouse of Batesville, Hannah Grace Sprouse and Rosa Lee Sprouse, both of Pope; one sister, Oma Boucher of Batesville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Lucette Boueyrie Still

SARDIS–Lucette Boueyrie Still, 84, died November, 30, 2010, at her residence.

Services were Thursday at St. John’s Catholic Church. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home had charge.

Still, born Dec. 13, 1925, in France, to the late Joseph Boueyrie Still and Juliette Macket Boueyrie, was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and an Avon representative.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe “Mack” Still and one daughter, Linda Teresa Still.

Survivors include: two daughters, Marie Lipscomb and Lydia Smith, both of Sardis; one son, Joseph “Jo Jo” Still of Sardis; one brother, Jean Boueyrie of France; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Paul Maxwell Young

ENID–Paul Maxwell Young, 46, died Monday, Nobember 29, 2010, at his residence.

Services will be held Friday  at 11 a.m. at National Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Kelly wil officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. National Funeral Home has charge.

Young, born Feb. 25, 1964, in Clarksdale, to Harold Dawson Young and Ruth Opal Martin, graduated from Clarksdale High School and Mississippi State University, where he played football from 1982-1986. He was a salesman for Pride Hyundai in Batesville.

Survivors include: two sons, Hunter Young and Jacob Young, both of Enid; one daughter, Lauren Young of Foley, Ala.; one step-son, Chris Jones of Jackson and one sister, Sandi Hoskins of Welches, Ore.
