South Panola escaped with a 24-13 win over rival Olive Branch despite having two touchdowns called back. The win sets up a north half rematch with Madison Central next Friday in Madison at 7 p.m.

After the final touchdown with 7.5 seconds left in the game, Panola County sheriff deputies entered the field to stop what looked to turn into a fight, according to eyewitness reports. The officials called the game and South Panola did not get to get its final extra point.

Madison Central did what the Clarion-Ledger predicted and defeated Northwest Rankin in a district rematch 27-20 to advance.

North Delta

North Delta ended its season on a 42-35 overtime loss to Leake Academy. The Green Wave erased a third quarter 16-point lead to tie the game at 35 with 2:04 left in the game.

Leake scored on its first down in overtime and intercepted a Green Wave pass on third down in overtime to end the game.

Leake will take on River Oaks, La. Who upset defending state champion Brookhaven Academy in the state championship Friday night.
