SARDIS– Juan Carlos Bell, 41, died Thursday, October 7, 2010.

Services will be held Saturday at noon at Pleasant Green Church Activity Center in Sardis. Burial will be in Pleasant Green Cemetery. Pate-Jones Funeral Home has charge.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Ellis and his step-father, Robert Watson.

Survivors include: his mother, Cora L. Bell Watson of Sardis; one son, Darius D. Lester of Sardis; one sister, Adreanne Hale of Memphis; brothers, Dorian Hale and Kristen Hale, both of Coldwater.

David Oneal Perry

BATESVILLE– David Oneal Perry, 65, died Monday, October 11, 2010, at his residence.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Concord M.B. Church in Batesville. Rev. Zannie Leland will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held today from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary.

Perry, born Nov. 20, 1944, to Nathaniel Charles Perry and Bertha Mae Griffin, was a construction worker and a member of Concord M.B. Church.

Survivors include: two daughters, Sonya Perry and Annette Butler, both of Batesville; one son, Dereck Perry of Dallas, Texas; six sisters, Shelia Brooks and Vergie Lee Stappin, both of Memphis, Eva Perry, Dorothy Miller and Jewel Pinkins, all of Indianapolis, Ind.; one sister, Emma Mae Perry of Fresno, Calif.; one brother, Olson Perry of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
