Starting September 24 South Panola games will be live video streamed thanks to ihigh.com through the www.panolian.com website.

Ihigh.com streamed the game between South Panola and Colquitt County, Ga. The game had over 26,000 hits making it the most watched. The second highest game garnered approximately 6,000 hits, according to Trey Hamby, who has been filming South Panola games for 13 years.

The live streaming will combine Hamby’s filming with the radio broadcast of the crew from WBLE who calls the games each Friday night: Judge George Carlson, Steve Wingert, Kenny Hopper and the rest of the crew.

Hamby said this came about because people have been inquiring how to get the games streamed since the Georgia game. He called David Bannister of ihigh.com Monday and Bannister met with Hamby, South Panola head football coach Lance Pogue and members of the radio crew Wednesday morning.

“When I called Bannister Monday and told him who I was calling for, he freaked,” Hamby said. “He has been talking back and forth with Coach Pogue on video streaming the games.”

All of the South Panola games will be video streamed live with the exception of any games the Mississippi High School Activities Association streams live like the state championship game.

There is no cost to view the game. Just go to www.panolian.com. Click on the South Panola Football Live Streaming box on the left for the link to the game site. A page has already been set up for South Panola and a link for the stream. There are some software downloads that will be necessary in order for the video to stream to computers and high speed internet is also necessary.

South Panola’s homecoming tonight will kick off the live, video streaming with the radio pregame show at 7 p.m. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.

For those coming to the game, tickets will be sold at the high school from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. General admission is $7 and reserved seats are $10. Ticket booths open tomorrow at 6:30 p.m.
