The accident occurred about 11:45 p.m., said county coroner Gracie Grant-Gulledge.

Davis’s family has identified the body as Mrs. Davis, who was driving home after working at the Parker-Hannifin plant in Batesville.

The state medical examiner’s office has yet to positively identify the body as Davis and was awaiting a DNA sample from a family member Monday, Gulledge said.

Dental records were not available, she said.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol and Panola sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene of the accident.
