Let it be known to all whom I know or might meet, it is finally hot enough for me.

The pool temperature Sunday afternoon was 94 while the hot tub is set at 102.

I started out the office door to take pictures of people in the heat on Tuesday but realized immediately that it was too hot for me to go outside and take pictures… let younger members of the staff do it.

We’ve had entire summers where the temperature never reached three digits. The temps have reached three digits or the heat index has reached triple digits and have had heat warnings during three months of the current summer and who knows what September might bring?

These temperatures might make me more concerned about global warming than before.

But wait a minute. Remember last winter and spring. Remember how cold and miserable it was.

A pipe that had never burst before and had been there since 1981 burst at my home. Twice. And the cold weather continued, on and on.

I honestly remember making the comment that I had never seen people so ready for spring and summer weather.

Be careful what you wish for.
