Authorities in Kenner, Louisiana say Brown stabbed a man to death there, then stole his Toyota Camry when he fled.

The automobile was used in the May 15 robbery of a Batesville convenience store, Food Mart, said police.

The store clerk, who wrote down the tag number for police, also identified Brown from a six-photo lineup, said Shivers.

Brown was arrested by U.S. marshals, without incident, at a residence in the city, the detective said. The marshals were acting on a tip and were watching the home.

Shivers said Brown will be extradited to Louisiana to face the murder charge. After those proceedings are completed, he will face the robbery charge in Panola County.
