W.L. “Wimpy” Austin

SENATOBIA– W.L.  “Wimpy” Austin, 87, died Tuesday, May 13, 2010.

He was retired from Bellsouth/AT&T in Tate and Panola Counties.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Geneva V. Austin. He is survived by two daughters, Sandra Houston of Sarah, and Lacy Simmen of Mt. Albert, Canada; One son, Michael Austin of Thayer, Mo.; and one step-son, Carl Zoffka of Garwin, Iowa; and four grandchildren.

Ray-Nowell Funeral Home of Senatobia has charge of arrangements.

Timothy D. Faulkner

POPE– Timothy Dewayne Faulkner, 48, died Saturday, May 15 at Baptist Memorial Hopsital-North Mississippi.

Services are today at 1 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Enid. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

Faulkner, born Nov. 23, 1961, in Tallahatchie County, to James Dewayne “Wayne”  and Emilie Dees Faulkner of Courtland, was a member of First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors along with his parents, include: his wife, Laura Woods Faulkner of Pope; one daughter, Alicia Meagan Faulkner of Pope; one son, Jeremy Dewayne Faulkner and his wife, Melissa Rose of Enid; one sister, Melody Faulkner Trapp of Hopkinsville, Ky.; five brothers, James Duncan “Jimmy” Faulkner of Batesville, Clark Faulkner of Grenada, Greg Faulkner of Washington Courthouse, Ohio, Keith Faulkner of Como, Wade Faulkner of Enid and one grandson, David Allen Faulkner of Enid.

Patricia Ann Hooper

SARDIS– Patricia Ann  Kennemore Moss Hooper, 56, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at her residence.

Memorial services were held Saturday, May 15  at Wells Funeral Home Chapel.

Hooper was born April 17, 1954, in Portsmith, Va., to Kay Kennemore and the late Henry Howard Kennemore Sr.

Survivors include: three daughters, Julie Armistead of Horn Lake, Kristi Sexton of Cabot, Ark. and Leslie Siebert of Franklin, Tenn.; two sons, Joseph Moss of Marion, Ark. and Jonathon Hooper of Mesa, Ariz.; her mother, Kay Kennemore of Sardis; one sister, Sharon K. Forehand of Sardis; three brothers, Henry H. Kennemore Jr. of Sardis, Daniel Kennemore of Farmington, Mo. and Ross Kennemore of Sardis and five grandchildren.

Wanda Rose McCullar

SARDIS– Wanda Rose McCullar, 69, died Monday, May 10 at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Funeral services were Wednesday, May 12, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Kevin Crofford officiated. Burial was in Love Joy Cemetery in Pope.

Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Mrs. McCullar was born in Halls, Tenn., to the late Ruben and Clora May Riddick Burrow. She was a clerk for Forrest Hill Funeral Home and a member of Sardis Lake Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Leon McCullar.

Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Diane McCullar and Lisa Gale McCullar, both of Southaven; one sister, Janice Sue Cook of Independence; one brother, Bobby Gerald Burrow of Plano, Texas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
