Letter to the editor

Complaints yield no improvement

A few months ago I write a letter to the editor about garbage pickup. I’m not going to complain but the problem still exists. I don’t mind coming home on garbage day finding my container almost in the highway or in the middle of my drive. I’m not going to complain that when you call someone about the problem, no one is available.

No, I’m not going to complain that some of my neighbors’ containers also are in the middle of their drives or lying on their sides or in ditches. No, I’m not going to complain about paying for bad service. No, I’m not going to complain about my hometown newspaper showing a photo of a stuffed animal on the back of a garbage truck.

No, I’m not going to complain that maybe the newspaper should do before and after photos of garbage containers on pickup day in the county.

No, I’m not going to complain. No, not me. I’m happy with the bad service.

I should be used to bad service in the county. After all, it’s been like this for years.

Complain? Who, me?
