Authorities are offering a cash reward for tips that lead to the capture and conviction of two men involved in a robbery Monday.

Batesville police are seeking two black males who robbed a Hispanic man Monday evening on Van Voris Street in west Batesville.

The victim and a second Hispanic man, driving a red Dodge Neon, were boxed in by the two black males who were in a gray Grand Marquis, police said.

“The Hispanic men took off running but one of them was knocked down, robbed and pistol-whipped,” said Detective George Williford.

The second victim escaped, he said.

After interviewing the victims, police believe the incident was a random robbery, Williford said.
