South Panola schools will re-open Friday for a regularly scheduled school day, according to district Superintendent Dr. Keith Shaffer.

South Panola shut down Thursday in anticipation of inclement weather that left a dusting of snow and some icy bridges.

“We may have some buses running late, but we’re going to have school,” Shaffer told The Panolian.

It was not clear Thursday if North Panola schools would remain closed Friday.

The school district’s Web site, which reported Thursday’s closing, has not been updated about Friday’s school day.

North Delta School, which was closed Thursday, will remain closed Friday.
