Ken Ellis, 64, has not slowed down a bit and claimed eight more gold medals at the 2009 National Firefighter Games in West Palm Beach, Fla. He was in Florida the weeks of November 2-15.

He was invited by a friend to participate, a man he often competes against. Before the games, his friend fell off his house and was unable to compete.

Ellis brought home gold in the following events: 50 meter dash, 8.1 seconds; 100 meter dash, 16.1 seconds; 200 meter dash, 34.2 seconds; 400 meter dash, 1:29 minutes; shot put, 32’; triple jump, 22’, long jump, 11’; and the discus throw 115’.
