SP football vs Columbus

It did not matter what day it was, the South Panola football team was ready to play. Continuing the offensive domination from last week against Olive Branch, the Tigers slammed the Columbus Falcons 53-7 Thursday night.
The Tigers traveled to Columbus a day early in anticipation of severe weather expected to blow through the area Friday and Saturday.
Tiger Nick Parker put the Tigers on the board on the first play from scrimmage with a 75-yard sprint. Parker scored two more touchdowns in the game. Parker only rushed six times during the night but racked up 113 yards averaging 18.8 yards per carry.
South Panola used 10 rushers and six receivers to collect 552 total offensive yards on the night, 336 rushing and 216 passing.
Also scoring rushing touchdowns were Jonathan Bownes, one touchdown with 34 yards on 12 carries and Domonique Carothers two touchdowns, 11 carries for 95 yards. Quarterback Lee Self completed eight of 10 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns. Chris Grigsby made an appearance and completed his only pass attempt for nine yards.
Making touchdown receptions were Nicklos Brassell and Taylor Rotenberry. Nolan Parker was good for six of seven (PATs) point after touchdowns.
Columbus was held to 184 total yards on the night and the Falcons lost four of four fumbles.
