Edith Hale

BATESVILLE— Edith   “Tinkie” Mae Stringer Hale, 92, died Thursday, September 3, 2009, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Memorial services will be held today at 1 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Rev. Eugene Waldren will officiate. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

Hale, born Sept. 22, 1917, in Crab Orchard, Ky. to John G. Stringer and Gracie Procter Stringer, was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm L. Hale.

Survivors include: one daughter, Lana Karol of Courtland; two sisters, Josephine Byers of Live Oak, Fla. and Betty Collier of Citrus Springs, Fla.; one brother, Robert Stringer of Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Corrine Cline Pegram

COMO— Corrine Cline Pegram, 91, died Thursday, September 3, 2009, at North Oak Medical Center in Senatobia.

Services were Saturday at Ray-Nowell Funeral Home.  Rev. Dayna Goff officiated. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home had charge.

Pegram, born Sept. 2, 1918, in Panola County, to the late William S. “Bud” Cline and Ollie Mae Arnold Cline, was a homemaker. She owned a beauty shop in Sardis and worked at the Dixie Store. She was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter L. Pegram.

Survivors include: one daughter, Carolyn Rea Arnold of Hawkins, Texas; two sons, Paul Rea of Royce City, Texas and Jerry Pegram of Sardis; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Stevie Weaver

BATESVILLE— Stevie Weaver, 30, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.

Services were Saturday at Wells Funeral Home. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Weaver was born July 19, 1979, to James Edward and Pamela Jean Glenn Weaver of Sardis.

Survivors along with his parents include: three daughters, Julia Nicole Weaver of Batesville, Madeline Elizabeth Yawn of Grenada and McKenzie Blair Ingle of Grenada; one sister, Amanda Nicole Weaver of Hattiesburg; one brother, Christopher Glenn Weaver of Batesville and his grandmother, Jimmie L. Allen of Pontotoc.
