Atlanta Falcons first round draft pick Peria Jerry of Batesville signed a five-year contract with the Falcons on Thursday. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

The Falcons started training camp on Saturday. According to a press release from the Associated Press, Jerry was expected to land a starting job left by free agent Grady Jackson.

The Falcons will play a preseason game at Detroit on August 15, at St. Louis on August 21, play San Diego in Atlanta on August 29 and host Baltimore on September 3.

The Falcons open the regular season at home on Sunday, September 13, hosting Miami.
