Kroger recalls beef products in Mississippi

Kroger is notifying customers regarding a recall of some store-brand beef products supplied by JBS Swift Beef Co. that may be contaminated with E. coli bacteria. Kroger stores in Mississippi, Memphis and West Tennessee, Arkansas, Southern Missouri and Southwest Kentucky are included in this recall.

The store-brand and store-packaged ground beef had sell-by dates from April 27 to June 1. The package description reads “Ground Beef AP2 73% lean T.” The UPC codes include 21165800000, 211658100000, 21165820000 and 211658300000.

None of these items are in Kroger stores today, according to a news release from Kroger.

Kroger is notifying customers with telephone and e-mail recall alerts if they purchased a recalled item using their shopper’s card.

Customers who have the recalled items may return them to a store for a full refund or replacement.
