ND Baseball remains undefeated in district

The North Delta baseball team had 14 hits in route to a 9-3 victory over Delta Academy Monday in Marks.

The Green Wave are 3-0 in the district and 4-3 overall.

Jim Tom Copeland picked up the win on the mound, pitching six innings. He had 10 strike outs, allowed four walks and five hits.

Ethan Taylor relieved him in the seventh inning with two strikeouts, allowing no hits and no runs.

Geri Lamm was 1-for-3 with a triple. Michael Magee went 3-for-4 with a double. Taylor went 2-for-4 with a double and Hunter West went 1-for-3 with a double. Also getting hits were Copeland, 1-for-3; Bateman Greenlee, 3-for-3; Austin Gant, 2-for-3; and John Cody Dalrymple, 1-for-2.

The Green Wave’s game yesterday at Marvell was postponed due to inclement weather. A makeup date has not been set.

North Delta will travel to West Memphis Monday for a district match up.

Thursday, April 2, the Green Wave will return home for a district doubleheader with Desoto, Ark. starting at 4 p.m.
