Charleston downs NPJH teams

The North Panola Jr. High basketball teams hosted Charleston Thursday afternoon.

The Lady Cougars (2-4) fell to Charleston 17-11 and the Cougars (3-5) lost 31-26.

Scoring for the Lady Cougars were Candance Mottley, 8 points; Anastasia Johnson, 2 points; and Whitney Pettis, 1 point.

Scoring for the Cougars were Devonta Howard, 9 points; Eking Miller, 7 points; Derrick Young, 6 points; and Ketwan House, 2 points.

The Jr. High Cougars will play in the Tunica Tournament Saturday and return home to host Independence Monday at 5 p.m.
