The Thanksgiving holiday will mean changes to garbage pick-up in Sardis, Batesville and Panola County.

All Sardis city offices will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of the holiday. There will be no second day of garbage pick up in the city this week.

Batesville City Hall and Panola County courthouse offices will also be closed Thursday and Friday, but garbage pick up will take place Friday to make up for missing Thursday, according to Carolyn Mills of the County Administrator’s office.

The Panolian will also be closed Thursday and Friday.

All offices will re-open on a regular schedule Monday, December 1.

Area banks will be closed Thursday and re-open Friday morning so funds will be available for Christmas shoppers.
