SP shuts out Desoto Central in Thursday action

Behind the legs and strength of Nick Parker’s three touchdown runs, the South Panola Tigers shut out Desoto Central 55-0 in special Thursday night action.

The Tigers used six different players to visit the endzone against the Jaguars (4-7, 1-6).

Parker scored on runs of 70, 14 and one yards. Other scorers include Qyendairs Griffin, nine yard run; Domonique Carothers, 26-yard run; Marcus Henry, 37 yard pass from quarterback David Renfroe; Ira Perry, two-yard run; and Cameron McGee, five yard run. Renfroe kicked seven of eight PATs.

South Panola logged its 86th consecutive win and finished with its seventh consecutive undefeated regular season.

The Tigers await Friday night action to see who they will face in the first round of playoffs that will be played on Tiger Field in Robert H. Dunlap Stadium beginning at 7 p.m.
