Three Grenada residents have been charged with the late-evening October 23 burglary of Crouch’s home at 1106 Crouch Road.

Those arrested are Roman M. Moss, 20, 317 West Govan; William C. Hopper, 18; and Christopher A. Hopper, 18, 305 Airport Industrial Park Road, Trailer #1.

Each is charged with burglary of a dwelling, a felony.

No one was home at the time of the burglary, said sheriff’s investigator Albert Perkins.

The incident was called in at 7:13 and deputies responded to the scene.

“Not much of anything was taken,” Perkins said. “They got some coins and watches. It looks like their burglary might have been interrupted.”

Perkins did not name the resident who pursued the suspects.

“After they wrecked on Liberty Hill Road, all three left the vehicle on foot and ran into the woods,” he said. “Our deputies pursued them and made the arrests later in the evening.”
