Visitation Monday

Services for William “Son” Edwin Hudson Sr. will be Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at 11 a.m. the Sardis Lake Baptist Church where he was a member.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, also at the church.

Hudson, Panola County’s Director of Emergency Operations, died Friday, Sept. 26, in an auto accident on Highway 6. [See related story that follows].

Hudson was an integral member of Panola County’s first responder community for much of his life. He was born October 31, 1942 in Panola County to the late George William and Edna Mae Morrow Hudson.

Survivors include two daughters, Leigh Beth Hudson of Batesville and Melanie Nirschl and her husband, Gary, of Huntsville, Alabama; two sons, Bill Hudson and his wife Kathy, also of Huntsville and Rusty Hudson of Cordova, TN. His brother, James Rodney Hudson of Sardis, also survives as do seven grandchildren.

Hudson will be interred in the Sardis Lake Baptist Church Cemetery. Wells Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
