Staff shuffle includes new faces at Panolian

Two new employees have joined The Panolian staff, with a third moving into a new position.

Cassie White has moved from graphic design to direct the newspaper’s classified and legal department. The sales staff has expanded to include Carol Knight, who works with veteran Bob Boggan in display advertising sales.

Madison Kilgore, a recent graduate of the University of Mississippi, has joined the graphic design staff with Margaret Buntin. Kilgore will also coordinate the newspaper’s special projects.

White, who has worked at the newspaper for four years, is a 1998 graduate of South Panola High School. The daughter of Ricky and Kaye Cook, she is married to Sammy White. The Whites have two children, Caleb, 6 and Abby, 2.

Knight and her family moved to Batesville about five years ago. She is a graduate of Coahoma County High School and the Frankie Shelton School of Floral Design. She previously worked at Batesville Vision Clinic.

She and her husband Billy have a daughter, Sarah, 14.

Kilgore, who worked at the Panolian as a summer intern in 2005, brings experience in magazine design, having worked under Dr. Samir Husni at the University of Mississippi. Husni is considered one of the world’s foremost experts in magazine design and production.

Kilgore, a 2004 graduate of North Delta School, is the daughter of Don and Gina Kilgore.
