SP ladies down Cleveland

The South Panola Lady Tigers went 5-0 on the season after an 8-1 win over Cleveland. They got 13 hits in the game.

Whitney Kiihnl got her fifth win and Emily Hatcher took the loss for Cleveland. Kiihnl pitched the complete game in seven innings and struck out 13, allowed two walks, two hits and one run.

Casi Brooks hit a double and Stormy Robison hit a triple for the Lady Tigers. Getting multiple hits for the Lady Tigers were Brooks, three; Kiihnl, two; and Haylei Plummer, two.

The Lady Tigers are now on a 17-game win streak.

The Lady Tigers are gearing up for their Strikeout for Cancer event to be held in conjunction with the game against Grenada Friday afternoon.

The game starts at 6 p.m. following the junior varsity game.
Proceeds from the gate and concessions will go to the American Cancer Society.
