Baseball Tigers slam Cleveland 16-2

The South Panola Baseball Tigers traveled to Cleveland Tuesday to take on the Indian team.

The Tigers (3-2) downed the Indians 16-2 in five innings. The Tigers scored 10 runs in the top of the fourth. They got 12 hits in the game.

Whit Whitten got the win for the Tigers. Reed Hatcher took the loss for Cleveland. Ethan Bright, Wesley Gregg and David Renfroe hit doubles for the Tigers. Getting multiple hits were Bright, three; Joseph Blair, two; and Tyler Benson, three.

The Tigers will be home Friday to host Olive Branch in non-district action beginning at 5 p.m. with the junior varsity game.
