Tigers down Chiefs 6-1

The South Panola summer baseball team got back in action with games at Magnolia Height Wednesday.

The varsity Tigers won 6-1 and the junior varsity tied 7-7.

In the varsity game, Colton Ales pitched five innings for the win. He was relieved in the sixth by David Renfroe.

Ethan Bright hit a homerun.

In the junior varsity game, Wesley Gregg hit a ground ruled double and Lee Self hit a two RBI single to tie the game.

The Tigers played Thursday night at Water Valley but the score was not available at press time. The next games are a doublehader Monday, June 4 at grenada at 5 and 7 p.m. The first home games are Tuesday, June 12 at 5 and 7 p.m.
