Funeral services for Marvin “Pop” Dale Boyd, 57, were held Sunday, July 21, at Thyatira Family Life Center near Senatobia. Burial was at New Zion Baptist Church cemetery.
He died July 15, 2019 in Coldwater. He was a delivery driver.
Dale Flowers, 67, died Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. A funeral service will be held today (July 26) at 11 a.m., at Clear Creek M.B. Church in Oxford.
Burial will follow at Harrisonville M.B. Church Cemetery under the direction of Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford.
Funeral services for Doris Day Jackson, 56, will be Saturday, July 27, at Macedonia M.B. Church, Senatobia, at noon. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
She died July 21, 2019 at Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven.
Funeral services for Roy Key, 74, will be Saturday, July 27, at Cooley’s Mortuary Chapel with Minister Jimmy Key and O’dell Key officiating. Burial will be at Second Concord Church cemetery.
He died July 21, 2019 at his home in Batesville. Visitation will be today (July 26) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary.
He was born Feb. 11, 1945 to John H. Key and Sarah Lue Tomas Key in Batesville.
Johnny Lewallen, 70, of Crenshaw, passed away July 24, 2019 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his son, John Lewallen; his parents, Edward Lewallen and Mae Belle Barmer Lewallen; and a brother, Walter Gene Lewallen.
He is survived by his wife, Vera Lewallen of Crenshaw; sisters, Mary Ruth Adcock (Robert) of Batesville, and Wanda Jordan (Stephen) of Conway, Ark.; and brothers, William Lewallen of Sardis, James Lewallen (Faye) of Longtown, Raymond Lewallen (Patricia) of Strayhorn, and Jimmy Lewallen (Kelli) of Longtown.
Visitation will be held today (July 26) from 6-8 p.m. at Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family of Gillie Viola Pittman-Thompson will be celebrating her life Monday, July 29, at Second Concord M.B. Church, 3178 Waldrup Rd., at noon. Viewing will be available Sunday, July 28, from 3to 6 p.m. at Skeeter Robinson Funeral Home in Batesville.
