The following cases were heard in Batesville Municipal Court, Wednesday, May 8, with Judge Jay Westfaul presiding.

Damien L. Hervey, 255 Sanders Rd., Enid, pleaded guilty to simple possession of marijuana and was fined $443.

Jessie J. HarperJr.,172 Main Street, Sledge, failed to appear on a charge of possession of marijuana in a vehicle.

Cornelious D.Holly, 1600 Sheriff Ridge Apt.B5, Friers Point, failed to appear on possession of marijuana in a vehicle and no driver’s license.

Marcus T. Dixon II, 204 Arizona St., Batesville, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana in a vehicle, speeding, no insurance and old fines, all totaling $2,019.

Laytoria L. Simpson,107 Dora St., Batesville, had a malicious mischief charge dismissed due to lack of prosecution.

Rondenisha Ladd,112 Hoskins Rd., Batesville, had a simple assault charge dismissed due to lack of prosecution, but was ordered to pay $760 in old fines.

Jahvarious D. Simmons, 213 Pearson St., Batesville, pleaded guilty to simple assault and non-payment of old fines all totaling $634. Simmons was placed on the city work program.

Brenda L. House, 375A  Tubbs Rd., Batesville, had a false pretense charge dismissed due to lack of prosecution.

Amy O. Shaw,1515 Patton Ln., Batesville, had a petit larceny charge charge dismissed due to lack of prosecution, but was ordered to pay $443 in old fines.

Donteshia L. Houston,202 West St.,Batesville, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was fined $1,146.

Thomas S. Escobar,1140 Robb St., Summit, pleaded not guilty to shoplifting.

Ashlie P. Ellis, 24576 Hwy. 315, Sardis, had a shoplifting charge remained to the files for six months by the request of the state.

William W. Phillips, 439 Carlisle Rd., Courtland, failed to appear on charges of DUI-refusal, possession of marijuana in a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, open container, improper equipment, suspended driver’s license, expired tag, and no insurance.

Cordarious Poole, 788 Bethlehem Rd., Batesville, was found guilty of contempt of court and fined $1,221.

Crystal S. Hamilton, 206 James St., Batesville, was fined $1,451 for no driver’s license and contempt of court.

Jamarcus S. Hamilton,106 Goodhaven, Batesville, was fined $2,490 for contempt of court.

MacArthur Draper, Jr. 145 Fudgetown Rd., Batesville, was fined $2,072 for contempt of court.

In cases set for trial,

Laqueshia S. Webb, 204 Fisher St., Batesville, was found not guilty of domestic violence(simple) and no insurance, but was ordered to pay $723 for speeding and old fines.
