Mustangs tough on home court

The North Delta Green Wave varsity boys dropped their fourth game in a row in a 70-42 road loss at Pillow Academy Tuesday.
Walt Miller paced the Green Wave with 19 points while Ryan Gibson provided six. Drake Barton added four and Carter Gee, Ripkin Mitchell and Layton Wells each supplied three.
Colin Hartman and Nolan Long finished with two points.
The North Delta Lady Green Wave also went down in defeat to the No. 5 ranked Mustangs 52-38. Ally Alford led the way for North Delta (15-8) with 16 points with Shelby Grace Boone adding eight.
Isabella Morrow followed with seven points while Hannah Bollinger finished with five. Sydney Talley rounded out the scoring with two points.
Pillow completed the four-game sweep by winning both junior high contests. The ’Stang junior high boys eased past North Delta 57-19 while the junior high girls won 40-18.
Ellie Gray garnered six points for the Lady Wave followed by Libby Miller and Sadie Gray added four points each. Sonny Smith registered two points with Breck Brewer and Boone finished with one point each.
North Delta traveled to Lee Academy last night and will host Bayou Academy Monday at 4 p.m to close out district play.
