Bobby Blair

Bobby Joe Blair, 68, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
Services were held Sunday at Wells Funeral Home. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Tommy Snyder and Reverend John Howell Jr. officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge. Blair, born May 10, 1947 in Batesville, to the late I. O. and Dovie Perkins Blair,
practiced law for many years in Memphis and the surrounding area. He was licensed
to practice law in Tennessee and Mississippi.
Survivors include: his wife, Barbara Z. Blair of Memphis; sister, Beverly Blair Hill of Memphis; brother, Gary Blair (Janice) of Batesville; two nieces, Jennifer Blair Howell of
Batesville and Morgan Blair Hill of Stockton, Calif.; two nephews, Jeff Blair and Dan Blair, both of Batesville, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

John Hampton Creel

SARDIS––John Hampton Creel, 60, died Thursday, January 28, 2016 at his residence.
Services were held Sunday at the Sardis Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home, who had charge of arrangements. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Sardis.
Creel, born May 8, 1955 in Memphis, to Geneva Croney Creel of Sardis and the late Frank James Creel, was a retired truck driver and attended Sardis Lake Baptist Church.
Survivor, in addition to his mother, include: his wife, Anita Jo Creel of Sardis; three daughters, Amanda Lynn Wardlaw of Madison, Roxie Danielle Creel of Sardis and Amanda Jo Butler of Hernando; one son, Brandon Jameson Creel of Horn Lake; three sisters, Gloria Harvey of Knoxville, Tenn., Margaret Smith of Horn Lake and Mimi Stroupe of Ashville, N.C.; one brother, Eugene “Buddy” Creel of Memphis; and six grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dalton Ray Martin

SARDIS – Dalton Ray Martin,  88, died Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.
Services were held Monday at Sardis Lake Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Reverend Kevin Crofford officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.
Martin, born January 18, 1928 in Fairview, Ky. to the late Luther Henry and Myrtle Lee Stokes Martin, retired after 25 years of service from the City of Memphis having worked within the Memphis Light, Gas and Water department. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Following his retirement, he and his wife became members of Sardis Lake Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Christine Holmes Martin of Sardis; two sons, Sherman Martin of Byhalia, Ricky Martin of Batesville; eight grandchildren, 14  great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
