Nine tentative makeup days for North Panola School District have been set and graduation has been tentatively rescheduled to Wednesday, May 27, but school officials are awaiting to see if “foregiveness days” may be forthcoming.

One plan for make-up days includes four Saturdays, the scheduled Memorial Day holiday and four additional days added to the end of the year.

March 28 would be the first Saturday to make up with the following Saturday make-up days scheduled for April 18, 25 and May 2.

The scheduled Monday, May 25 Memorial Day holiday would also be cancelled and additional days added to the end of the year would begin Tuesday, May 26 through Friday, May 29.

According to North Panola Administrative Assistant Carolyn Coleman school officials are currently awaiting the decision of higher ups to determine what can be done.

Makeup dates will most likely be recommended to the school board for their approval at the March 30 monthly meeting.
