“We are very excited to have Wes and Chad join the Tri-Lakes Medical Center team,” said Mike Havens, M.D., chief medical officer of Tri-Lakes Medical Center. “Both are seasoned professionals with many years of experience at community hospitals similar to ours. They will be outstanding assets to both our hospital and to our community.”

The appointments come shortly after the announcement of a joint-venture partnership between Tri-Lakes and Health Management Associates of Naples, Fla.

Sigler replaces Greg Cantrell, who served as CEO of Tri-Lakes since September of 2009 when it was acquired by Alliance Health Partners.

Cantrell will continue to serve as a consultant to the hospital.

While serving as CEO at Bolivar, Sigler made strides in recruiting physicians, improving quality and team building. From 2006 to 2008, Sigler worked as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Southern Tennessee Medical Center, a 150-bed, acute care hospital located in Winchester, Tenn. He also served as COO/Administrator at Lakeland Community Hospital in Haleyville, Ala., from 2002 to 2006., where he previously served the hospital as CFO.

“Tri-Lakes Medical Center is an outstanding resource for the community and region,” said Sigler. “I am excited about working with such an impressive group of physicians and employees as well as about becoming a part of the Batesville community. I’m also pleased to be able to remain in my home state of Mississippi.”

Sigler was named a “Health Care Hero” by the Alabama Hospital Association in 2005. He has also served as a past president of the Haleyville, Ala. Rotary Club, where he was a Paul Harris Fellow.

Sigler earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of North Alabama and his master of professional accountancy degree from Mississippi State University. A native of Starkville, he will be moving to Batesville with his wife Gina, daughter Emily, 16, and son Alex, 14.

Tri-Lakes CFO Chad Miller served as Bolivar Medical Center CFO from 2008 to 2011. Prior to his term at Boliver, Miller served as CFO of Chester Regional Medical Center in Chester, S.C. from 2006 to 2008 and Assistant CFO of Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson in 2005.

Miller, a Florence, Miss. native, received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi before earning his CPA license. He and his wife, Tina, will be moving to Batesville with their children Blake, 11, Madison, 10 and Alayna, 7.

“This is an exciting time to join the Tri-Lakes team,” said Miller. “I am looking forward to the growth that lies ahead for our hospital, as well as becoming a part of the Batesville community with my family.”
