Three die in accidents

Separate accidents claim lives of Hudson, Mason, Alewine


Auto accidents claimed the lives of two Panola residents and one Senatobia resident with Panola connections between Thursday night and Sunday morning.

Kelly Wayne Hudson age 40, died Thursday Jan. 29, 2009 in a auto accident near Pope. Services are at 2 p.m. today, Sunday, Feb. 1, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Dan Beardain and Dr. Douglass Sullivan-Gonzalas officiating. Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery Courtland. Wells Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Charles Colby Mason, age 17, son of Keith and Gayle Whitsell Mason of Senatobia, died Saturday evening in an auto accident near Senatobia. He was a junior at Magnolia Heights School in Senatobia.

Cynthia Ann Alewine age 51, wife of Steve Alewine, died Sunday morning in an auto accident near Batesville.

Arrangements for Mason and Alewine will be completed on Monday at Wells Funeral Home which has charge of arrangements.

Hudson was born November 7, 1968 to Bobby M. and Betty Herron Hudson in Batesville. Kelly was a computer analyst for Dunlap & Kyle Company. He was a member of the Independence Presbyterian Church. Kelly loved to deer hunt and coach ball in the J.P. Hudson League in Batesville.

Hudson is survived by his wife, Kay DuBois Hudson of Pope; two daughters, Kayla Mercede Roden of Starkville and Karrah Tassie Hudson of Pope; a son, Zackary Ky Roden of Pope; his parents, Bobby and Betty Herron Hudson of Batesville; a sister, Sharon Hudson of Batesville; two brothers, Randy (Amy) Hudson, Olive Branch, and Chris (Shelley) Hudson of Courtland, and his father-in-law, B.D. DuBois of Oakland.
