COCA, Fla.– Perry Shegog, 54, died Monday, September 22, 2008.

Services are Saturday at 2 p.m. at Nelson Chapel M.B. Church in Pope. Randy Kuykendall will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge.

Shegog, born March 28, 1954, in Enid, to Mary Kuykendall of Charleston, and the late Ben Shegog, was a member of Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church. He was a truck driver and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors along with his mother include: his wife, Patricia Shegog of Coca, Fla.; two daughters, Dana Shegog of Virginia and Brielle Shegog of Coca, Fla.; one son, Terrell Shegog of Atlanta; six sisters, Rosie Brooks of Enid, Diane Kuykendall, Debrie Kuykendall and Audra Boclair, all of Charleston, Ladwana Shegog and Latrice Shegog, both of Memphis; four brothers, Gary Kuykendall of Charleston, Randy Kuykendall of Hinesville, Ga., Ladell Shegog and LaShunn Shegog, both of Memphis and one god sister, Mary Murry of Charleston.
