Letter to the editor

Able invited to city board, responded positively

Let this letter clarify the recent confusion concerning Able Wrecker Service and the unlocking of cars for the City of Batesville. Able’s Service was requested by local police officers from the City of Batesville. The police officers inquired if there would be an interest in taking over this service for the city. They were concerned with the potential liability for the city.

Able’s presence was requested at the next board meeting to present their available services to the alderman and mayor. Able explained these services were already being provided to those not previously being serviced by the City of Batesville. Due to Able’s operating hours, this would not be a problem. Among those attending the meeting, only one alderman had a neutral feeling.
