ND’s Gaters and Tidwell make All-Star team

The North Delta fastpitch softball team received more honors as pitcher/first baseman Melanie Gaters and third baseman Lauren Tidwell were selected to the north All-Star team.

The North-South All-Star game will be played Monday, October 22 at Mississippi College in Clinton at 3:30 p.m.

Lady Wave head coach Brooke Turner said she was proud of them and had no doubts they would be selected All-Stars.

Stats for the two players are:

Gaters: 91 at bats, 20 runs, 33 hits, 16 RBIs, 29 singles, 4 doubles, 10 strikeouts, 4 walks, 6 sac-fly, 1 hit by pitch, 37 total bats, .373 on base percentage, .363 batting average.

Tidwell: 89 at bats, 29 runs,  44 hits, 26 RBIs, 25 singles, 10 doubles, 7 triples, 2 homeruns, 4 strikeouts, 4 walks, 4 sac-fly, 74 total bats, .495 on base percentage, and .494 batting average.
