BJH wins all three games of jamboree

Batesville Junior High seventh grade hosted a jamboree on Tuesday night against Lafayette, Olive Branch, Southaven and Lake Cormorant. The junior high went undefeated on the day defeating three Desoto County schools. There were two games being played on each side of the 50 yard line. In the first two games of the day BJH was matched against Southaven.
BJH 14-7
The quarterback play was big for the starters and backups. Anterio Draper started the game with a big drive then capped it off with a five yard run to put the first points on the board. On the second series, Draper made a big strike down the field to LaDerrick Hill to push the score to 14-0.
On the next series for the Chargers, Hill showed off his hands once again when he intercepted on the 10.
After both teams stalled, Southaven had a long drive on their last series with a 40 yard touchdown run from their quarterback that ended the game with a 14-7 win for the Tigers.
BJH 28-Olive Branch 0
The next matchup for the Tigers was against Olive Branch. The Tigers took the first defensive possession and did not disappoint. On the third play Charles Fox intercepted and ended the Conquistadors drive.
After the Conquistadors started their next drive, Dorian Baker recovered a fumble from a bad handoff.
After the turnover, the Draper to Hill connection continued as they hooked up for a 40 yard touchdown reception.
The score was 7-0 but L.J. Battle kept the ofense rolling as he ran for 40 yards and pushed the score to 14-0.
On the next offensive possession for the Tigers, Hill snagged another pass from Draper on a 40 yard touchdown to increase the lead to 21-0.
On the last drive for the Tigers they did not pull up as they scored once again on a 15 yard run from Tyrese Hicks. The Tigers ended the game with a big win of 28-0.
BJH 7-Lake Cormorant 0
In the final game the Tigers played their backups and came out with a win in a close game. The Gators played tough of defense as did the Tigers. The Tigers lone score came from a three yard run by Zach Nelson to put the score at 7-0.
Both teams played solid against each other which led to stalled series by both teams.
