The Tigers continued their winning ways with a hard-earned victory over the visiting Warriors Tuesday night.

Noah Willis and Cole Rotenberry each scored goals  for South Panola (4-3) before a strong defensive effort held off Senatobia in the second half. Freshman goalie Gehrig Griffin turned away 12 shots-on-goal before the Warriors broke the goose egg  with 11:02 left in the game.

Rotenberry’s third goal of the season gave South Panola a 1-0 lead with a sliding goal at the 16:23 mark of the first half. Senatobia had several scoring opportunities turned away by the Tiger defense late in the first half. South Panola missed a chance to add to their lead by missing a wide open shot in the closing minutes of the half.

Willis scored his second goal of the year on a throw-in with 26 minutes left in the contest that proved to be the game winner.

 Senatobia (girls)-3 SP-0

The Lady Warriors scored three second half goals in a seven minute span to break open a scoreless game at halftime. South Panola goal tender Rebecka Gardner kept Senatobia off the board with three diving saves in the first half.

South Panola will return to the pitch Tuesday as they host Lake Cormorant Tuesday at 5 and 7 p.m before entertaining Oxford Wednesday in a pair of Junior Varsity games starting at 4:30.
