Team leaders for the 2016 Convoy of Hope have been selected. Needed now are team volunteers to assist with the mass distribution of goods and services scheduled for next April.

Team leaders and volunteers will meet again Thursday and Friday, September 3 and 4, for planning, a spokesperson said.

In 2011, the 780 local Convoy of Hope volunteers served more than 3,000 needy local residents, distributing free groceries, lunch, haircuts, medical and dental screenings, clothing and counseling while providing children’s activities, assisting with job search and GED preparation.
The 2016 Convoy of Hope is scheduled for April 23.
