Judge Bill McKenzie dismissed a case for lack of evidence during Batesville Municipal Court held Wednesday.

Antonyo Ellis, 109 Everette St., Batesville, had a case for domestic violence-simple and petit larceny dismissed after a short trial.

Affiant Anetra Fields told the judge that she used to date Ellis. Fields testified that on October 15 he took her phone and hit her.

She told the judge her cousin was a witness but could not be in court due to work.
Ellis denied hitting Fields or taking her phone.

Without a witness and the case not being proven beyond a reasonable doubt, the judge dismissed the case.

Stacy Bovee, 1464 Havens Rd., Enid, entered a guilty plea to shoplifting several items from Walmart. She also had old fines of $888.75 that have been due since August 2012. The judge told her to have her full fines of $2,034 paid in full within 30 days.

Charlotte Brinson, 1464 Havens Rd., Enid, had a case for shoplifting continued.

Jakirah Starks, 1740 Billy McKee Rd., Dundee, entered a guilty plea to shoplifting 14 items of clothing worth $77.34 from Walmart. She was fined $1,146 due in 30 days.

Ronnie Foster, 790 Loden Rd., Holcomb, had a warrant issued after failing to appear to court to answer charges for false information and shoplifting.

Timothy Smith, 7480 Delta Bluff, Walls, failed to appear to answer charges for DUI-second (refusal).

Telicca Daniels, 1025 Sardis Lake Dr., Batesville, after a short trial, was found guilty in her absence on a charge of careless driving.
