Weekend spree

A series of weekend break-ins has resulted in the arrest of one suspect, according to Panola County Sheriff Otis Griffin. Griffin said he expects more break-ins to be reported Monday morning when businesses reopen.

From Pope to Sardis, investigators were busy keeping up with the different incidents.

Burglary victims discovered at present include: Pope School which was vandalized and money taken. Sayle Gas, Expert Auto Glass and Powell’s Liquors in Batesville were burglarized. Woodlawn Animal Clinic near Sardis had a safe stolen according to Griffin.
