SP gets win over Cleveland Central 

South Panola snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 6-2 victory over Cleveland Central Saturday (April 15) on Senior Day. 

The Tigers, (13-10-1) scored four runs in the third and two in the fifth before the Wolves avoided the shutout with two runs in the seventh.

  Brock Ware tripled and singled while Daniel Moore added two singles to lead South Panola at the plate. Landon Dickinson and Aidan Williams added doubles while Janario Humphery, Mack Boyette and Herron Williams provided singles. 

Aidan Williams earned the pitching victory with seven strikeouts, scattering five hits in five innings. Ware gave up two runs on three hits with two strikeouts in two innings of relief.

 The Tigers traveled to Grenada Friday (April 14) and lost a 4-3 decision as Grenada scored three runs in the bottom of the first made the difference.

  Landon Dickinson, Owen Roebuck and Eli Raines singled while Aidan Williams registered a single and double. Michael Johnson supplied a double.

  South Panola closes out the regular season with road trips to Water Valley Thursday and Clarksdale Friday before taking on Clinton (22-3) next week in the opening round of the North State playoffs.
