SARDIS–Isiah House, 69, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at his residence.

Services were Saturday at Mt. Zion M.B. Church. Rev. Cedric Jackson officiated. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Henderson Funeral Home had charge.

House, born Dec. 14, 1938, to the late Ike House and the late Elna Kearney, was a city worker and a member of Mt. Zion M.B. Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Linda R. House of Sardis; six daughters, Yvonne Jones and Beatrice House, both of Batesville, Feliaa House of Memphis, Dianna House of Como, Vickie House and Martina House, both of Sardis; two sons, Darryl Issac House III and Eric House, both of Sardis; two brothers, John Arthur House of Holly Springs and Robert House of Sardis; two sisters, Lois Fambra and Doris Webb, both of Chicago and 11 grandchildren.

WATER VALLEY–Christopher Shane Keel, 31, died Friday, April 25, 2008, in Panola County.

Services were Monday at Waller Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Sockwell officiated. Burial was in New El Bethel Cemetery. Waller Funeral Home had charge.

Keel, born to the late Edward and Sandra Keel, was a carpenter and a sheetrock hanger.

Survivors include: one daughter, Shannon Marie Johnson of Oxford; one son, Christopher Keel Kramer of Oxford; four sisters, Cynthia Keel Rogers of Oakland, Gloria “Jeanie” Brumfield of Water Valley, Linda Sue Sandifer and Ashley Dawn Sumrall, both of Columbia and one brother, James Walter Lee Jr. of Bakersfield, Calif.

BATESVILLE–Willie Edward Lantrip, 77, died Friday, April 25, 2008, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Services were Monday at Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Kenneth R. Dyson officiated. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Lantrip, born July 13, 1930, to the late Vuron Edward and Willie Essie Sprayberry, in Pontotoc, was a member of New Life Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and owner and operator of Lantrip Garage.

Survivors include: his wife of 57 years, Johnnie Laverne “Sally” Young Lantrip of Batesville; two daughters, Sally Ann Loggains of Walls and Brenda Joyce Smith of Tupelo; two sons, Jerry Wayne Lantrip and Willie Ayne Lantrip, both of Batesville; three sisters, Wilma Malone of Texas, Margie Earnest of Okalona and Marie Youngblood of Senatobia; one brother, Raymond Lantrip of Pontotoc; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

OLIVE BRANCH–Edward Leon Smiley, 52, died Friday, April 25, 2008. He was the brother of Judy Brown of Batesville.

Services are today at 1 p.m. at Forest Hill South Chapel, followed by military interment. Forest Hill Home South Funeral Home has charge.

Smiley served his country in the U.S. Army.

Survivors along with his sister include: his wife of 33 years, Sheri Billings Smiley; one son, Matt Smiley; one daughter, Paige Smiley Richardson; two grandchildren; his step-mother, Shirley Smiley Potts; two sisters, Jo Todd and Colleen Baker; four brothers, Julian Smiley,  John Smiley, Shannon Smiley and Gene Smiley.

POPE–Pat Howell Tigner, 64, died Sunday, April 27, 2008, at her residence.

Services are today at 2 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is today 10 a.m. until service time at Wells Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

Tigner, born Dec. 7, 1943, in Pope, to the late Burtrum H. and Ollie Baker Howell, was a jailer for  the Panola  County Sheriff’s Department and a beautician. She was a member of Friendship Church of God in Pope.

Survivors include: two sons, Joey Tigner and Tracy Tigner, both of Pope; three sisters, Geneva Howell Buntin of Batesville, Vontice Howell Lambert and Diane Howell Sanford, both of Pope and one brother, Jamie Howell of Batesville.

BATESVILLE–William “Bill” Joseph White, 77, died Sunday, April 27, 2008, at Golden Living Nursing Home.

Services were Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

White, born Sept. 28, 1930, in Jacksonville, Mo., to the late William J. White Sr. and Lillian Whitener White, was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and a U.S. Army Cpl. of the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carnelia Marie Parish White.

Survivors include: one daughter, Karen White of Clarksdale and one brother, Floyd White of Lagrange Park, Ill.
