BATESVILLE– Lonnie D. Fuqua, 27, died Friday, March 14, 2008, at his residence.

Services are Friday at 2 p.m. at Robison Chapel in Catlin, Ill. Randy Paddock will officiate. Burial will be in Jones Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Thursday at Robison Chapel. Robison Funeral Home has charge.

Fuqua, born May 20, 1980, in McHenry, Ill., was a member of Pope Baptist Church and a contractor.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry D. Fuqua and his grandparents, Edwin and Marilyn McGee and Ewel and Mary Fuqua.

Survivors include: his mother and step-father, Sheila and Steve Allen, of Catlin, Ill.; two step-sons, Austin Fuqua and Aron Fuqua, both of Batesville; one step-daughter, Angel Fuqua of Batesville; four brothers, Jerid Fuqua of Catlin, Bill Cornwell of McHenry, Ill., Rick Cornwell of Lake in the Hills, Ill. and Joshua Allen of Catlin and five sisters, Davina Holloway of Fairview, Tenn., Kimberly Fuqua of Burlington, Wash., Kristine Pugh of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., Lindsey Allen of Catlin and Kelly Blaz of McHenry, Ill.

Memorials to the family may be made to Robison Chapel.

LAMBERT–Charles Arthur Ingram, 64, died Thursday, March 13, 2008, in Clarksdale.

Services are Saturday at noon at Visitor’s Chapel M.B. Church. Pastor Edgar L. Scurlock will officiate. Burial will be in Visitor’s Chapel M.B. Church Cemetery. Robison and Son Funeral Home of Batesville has charge.

Ingram was a Baptist. He was a welder, blue printer, pianist and mechanic.

He was preceded in death by one son, Donell Thomas.

Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy Ingram; one god-daughter, Felecia C. Smith; two daughters, Janet Davis and Flora Mallette of Milwaukee, Wis.; five brothers and six sisters.

BATESVILLE–Donald “Tiny” Ray McGregor Jr., 51, died Saturday, March 15, 2008.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is today 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

McGregor, born June 25, 1956, in Memphis, to Mary Ruth Scroggins McGregor of Batesville and the late Donald Ray McGregor Sr., was a mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Latham McGregor.

Survivors along with his mother include: two daughters, Daisy McGregor Davis and Kimberly McGregor, both of Batesville; one son, Donald Ray McGregor IV of Batesville; one sister, Tammy Russell Jenkins of Nashville and three grandchildren, James Davis III, Breanna McGregor and Michael McGregor.

RICHLAND–James Robert “Robby” Schmitz, 30, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, in an automobile accident in Richland.  

Services were Saturday at Chapel of Ott and Lee Funeral Home. Burial was in Glenwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Richland. Ott and Lee Funeral Home had charge.

Schmitz, born March 17, 1977, in Jackson, to James Henry Schmitz of Water Valley and Darlene Burt Calvert of Crowder, graduated from Rankin Academy in Star in 1995. He was an employee of Jackson Brace and Limb Company where he worked for 10 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Richland.

Survivors along with his mother and father include: his former wife, Amanda Schmitz of Richland; one daughter, Kadence Louise Schmitz of Richland; his step-father, Jack Calvert of Crowder; three brothers, Greg Calvert of Crowder, Trace Schmitz and Cody Schmitz, both of Water Valley; one sister, Brandy Schmitz of Water Valley and his grandmothers, Irene Burt of Batesville and Dottie Calvert of Crowder.

BATESVILLE.–David Miles, 65, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at his residence.
Services were Friday at Sardis Lake Baptist Church. Rev. Kevin Crofford officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Miles, born May 23, 1942, to Bertha Lee Snider Miles of Clarksdale and the late William Samuel “Pete” Miles, was a member of Sardis Lake Baptist Church. He was the retired owner/operator of Crackmaster Windshield Repair Service and was employed with the Mississippi Department of Transportation as a guard.

Survivors along with his mother include: his wife, Vera Ann Adams Miles of Batesville; one daughter, Betty Ann Ables Young of Sardis; one son, Bob Ables of Seymour, Tenn.; one sister, Brenda Miles Keith of Clarksdale; two brothers, William “Sammy” Miles of Oilton, Okla. and Terry Lee Miles of Alexandria, Va.; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
