ND Jr. High boys advance to finals; ladies end season

The North Delta Jr. High boys team defeated Marvell 51-27 Saturday to advance to the finals which were played last night.

The Green Wave team faced Tunica for the district championship. Tunica is the only team that  beat North Delta this season.

The North Delta Jr. High Lady Green Wave defeated Desoto, Ark. Thursday night 40-30 to advance to the second round.

Laci Dubravec led the Lady Green Wave in scoring with 19 points. She had four three-pointers in the first half and four steals.

The girls lost to No. 1 Delta Academy Saturday night 37-21 to end their season. No Lady Wave scored in double figures. Mary Jane Morrow led with seven points, followed by Katelyn Still with five points.

Morrow pulled down nine rebounds while Dubravec had eight.

Note: North Delta boys defeated Tunica 36-33 Monday night to win the district. Delta Academy girls won the district.
