Alvin Curtis Bowman

BOONEVILLE—Alvin Curtis Bowman, 53, died Thursday, November 22, 2007, at VA Medical Center in Memphis. He was the brother of Linda Ellis of Batesville

Services were Sunday at National Funeral Home. Rev. Doyle Jaco officiated. Burial was in Farrell Cemetery. National Funeral Home had charge.

Bowman, born Feb. 10, 1954, was a Baptist and a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam.

Survivors along with his sister include: three sisters, Peggy Walters of Memphis, Mary Hare of Pearl and Petty McKellar of Pearl and one brother, Frank Bowman of Clarksdale.

Memorials may be made to Disabled Veterans or the donor’s choice.

Samuel Ford

COURTLAND—Samuel Ford, 62, died Thursday, November 22, 2007, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Services were Monday at Salem M.B. Church in Courtland. Rev. Larry Itsom officiated. Burial was in Salem Cemetery. Cooley’s Mortuary had charge.

Ford, born April 3, 1945, to  the late Will Ford and the late Eva Rudd Ford, was a retired construction worker and a member of Salem M.B. Church.

Survivors include: six sisters, Verleria Davis of Batesville, Cornelia Ford, Verlena Herring and Francis Smith, all of Courtland, Mary Prince of Detroit, Mich. and Stella Pearson of Bay City, Mich. and three brothers, James Otis Ford and Will Ford Jr., both of Chicago and Robert Ford of Detroit, Mich.

Brooke McCullar Raymond

OXFORD—Brooke McCullar Raymond, 28, died Friday, November 23, 2007, at her residence. She was the daughter of Grady Lee McCullar Jr. of Batesville and Charlotte Still of Oxford.
Services were Monday at Coleman Funeral Home. Charles Lipe officiated. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Coleman Funeral Home had charge.

Raymond did clerical and sales work at the Cedar Bucket and she was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors along with her parents include: her husband, Vernon Raymond of Lambert; three sons, Benjamin Raymond, Cody Raymond and Hunter Raymond, all of Oxford; her grandparents, Mary and Brooks McPhail of Oxford and Faye McCullar of Batesville; three brothers, Grady Lee McCullar III of Abbeville, J.J. Piotrowski of Oxford and Jonathan McCullar of Batesville and one sister, Brittney McCullar of Batesville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clear Creek Baptist Church, 50 CR 313, Oxford, 38655.

Donna V. Sullivan

BATESVILLE—Donna V. Sullivan, 59, died Thursday, November 22, 2007, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Graveside services were Sunday at Indianola City Cemetery. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Sullivan, born Sept. 2, 1948, in Greenwood, to the late Haskel and Ellen McMullin Lambert, was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include: one brother, Haskel Lambert Jr. of Taylor.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of donor’s choice.

Mary Louise Wilkinson

BATESVILLE—Mary Louise Wilkinson, 91, died Wednesday, November 21, 2007.

Services were Saturday at Forest Hill Funeral Home. Forest Hill Funeral Home in Memphis had charge.

Wilkinson was a member of Wells Station Baptist Church and a seamstress for Sunshine Fashions.

Survivors include: two daughters, Tommie Morton of Batesville and Mary Terry of Somerville, Tenn.; two sisters, Una Reece of West Memhpis, Ark. and Marion Strickland of Bartlett, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent in Mrs. Wilkinson’s name to A and E Hospice.
