Jack Kennedy,  84, passed away at Panola Medical Center Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020.  Jack was the husband of Freida Kennedy.

Funeral services for Jack will be held at 2 p.m.  Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5  to 8 p.m. Friday evening at Wells Funeral Home for visitation.

Rev. Bobby Caples and Rev. Tracy Reed will officiate the service. Interment will be held at Magnolia Cemetery.

Jack was born Nov. 18, 1936 to the late Earl Kennedy and Mallie Wood Kennedy in Tishomingo County. Jack retired from GMAC after 30 years where he worked for the company in their factory in Chicago. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and raising cattle in his later years.

Jack was a kind man who treasured time with his grandchildren, loved telling stories and laughing. He adored his precious puppy Nibbles.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years, Freida Stevens Kennedy of Como; 2 sons, Jackie Kennedy of Chicago, and David Kennedy of Pope; 3 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by one son, James Howard “Jamie” Kennedy.
