Once again The Panolian staff is asking readers to help us select the 2016 Picture of the Year. Staff members have narrowed down their favorites to the top five, which are posted on the Panolian’s Web site, www.panolian.com.
“We’re asking folks to go online and help us select the top photo,” publisher John Howell said.
Nominees include three photos by Glennie Pou: geese at Sardis Lake, pear blooms on the Batesville Square, and the crowd at the Luke Bryan concert.
Staff members also chose a photo of Santa on the Polar Express, by Andy Young, and a shot by John Howell of a field of sunflowers with Macedonia Church’s new building in the background.
Voting is open December 20-26. The Picture of the Year will be published in The Panolian on December 30.
