JA celebrating 75 years of service
As the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries celebrates the organization’s 75th anniversary this year, members of the Junior Auxiliary of Batesville are recognizing members who have served at the national level.
The local JA became an active chapter in 1973, and has had three members who have advanced to national positions and offices in recent years .
Linda Pitcock has served nine years in various capacities with the National Association. She was chapter support coordinator, and has served on the NAJA Board of Directors as recording secretary, second and third vice president and education committee chairman.
Sharon Hudson has served a dozen years as an NAJA director, a Foundation trustee, and on the awards committee.
Ashley Johnson has served at the national level for four years, currently as the membership committee chairman for the NAJA Board of Directors.
Pitcock, Hudson and Johnson are all life members of the Junior Auxiliary of Batesville.
